About us

Why LetSafe UK exists

Private landlords spend thousands with letting agents for paperwork that should cost £30. We're the middle path, professional-grade templates, regulation-current, done by you.

Regulation-current

Every template carries a 'reviewed against' stamp naming the statute and date. When the law changes, we re-issue, and you get the update free.

Four-nation coverage

England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland each get dedicated templates under the correct Act, not one generic UK document with footnotes.

Self-help, not legal advice

We don't pretend to be solicitors. Our job is to give you a professional-grade template and explain how to fill it in. The decision is yours.

The editorial standard

Every template passes through four checks before it reaches your download folder:

  1. 1
    Primary-source drafted

The Act, the statutory instrument, the model form and the relevant First-tier Tribunal decisions, not a template-site scrape.

  2. 2
    Jurisdiction-tagged

Welsh templates use "contract-holder", Scottish PRTs cite the 2016 Act, NI documents follow the Private Tenancies Act (NI) 2022. No mix-ups.

  3. 3
    Instruction-booklet paired

Every document ships with a step-by-step "how to complete and serve" guide, because a blank notice is only half the product.

  4. 4
    Date-stamped and tracked

The footer names the statute, the statutory instrument and the review date. We publish a public regulation library showing the currency of every template.

Timeline

  1. Oct 2024

The biggest shake-up of English private renting in 30 years. We start drafting templates against the new regime six months before commencement.

    LetSafe UK opens for business

Launch catalogue covers the documents a landlord actually needs on day one: lodger agreement, guarantor, inventory, Right to Rent, deposit pack.

  3. 1 May 2026

    Phase 1 commencement, flagship drop

APT tenancy, Section 8 notice pack, Section 13 pack, Renters' Rights transition pack and the New Landlord Starter Pack ship on day one of the new regime.

    Compliance calendar subscription

Optional £9/month reminders for gas, EICR, EPC, rent-review and licence-renewal deadlines. Because forgetting a renewal is the expensive kind of mistake.

Who writes and reviews LetSafe content

Richard Wood

Founder, LetSafe UK

Richard founded LetSafe UK in 2026 and personally drafts and reviews every template and guide on this site against the current text of the governing legislation: the Renters' Rights Act 2025 and Housing Act 1988 in England, the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, the Private Housing (Tenancies) (Scotland) Act 2016 and the Private Tenancies Act (Northern Ireland) 2022. Each review is date-stamped on the page it covers, and the regulation library shows the currency of every template. Richard is not a solicitor, LetSafe sells self-help templates, not legal advice, and every page links to the primary legislation so you can check the source yourself.
